The Shed, which first opened in Huntington before expanding across Long Island with four locations, is getting set to open across the pond.
Well, in this case, the Long Island Sound.
Wednesday will mark the grand opening for The Shed at Mohegan Sun. So now after a night of partying and gambling with friends, you could recap over steak and eggs, buttermilk pancakes or brioche French toast. And maybe grab some hair of the dog from The Shed cocktail menu, perhaps a Bloody Mary, Pink Panther or Figgin’ Fresh.
The all-day brunch and dinner concept by John Tunney, III is opening in Casino of the Earth at Mohegan — immediately next to its sister restaurant, the smash-hit BALLO Italian Kitchen + Bar, which Tunney also owns and operates.
“We are thrilled to have another one of our top brands become a part of the extraordinary culinary offerings at Mohegan Sun,” Tunney told Greater Long Island. “The Shed Restaurant is a concept that has taken off in New York and we cannot wait to bring the experience to our friends in Connecticut.
“The Shed truly has something for everyone—any time of the day— who comes to visit the exceptional attractions at Mohegan sun. “
Tunney first launched The Shed concept in Huntington in 2017.
He later expanded it to West Sayville in 2019, followed by the Plainview location in 2021 and Westbury in May.
He also owns Besito Mexican restaurants with multiple Long Island locations, and The Farm Italy in Huntington, which has been named among OpenTable’s top 100 restaurants in the U.S.
