The Taste at Port Jefferson returns to the Village Center Oct. 17

|

An entire evening dedicated to trying different foods, desserts, and drinks.

That’s the purpose of the Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce’s Taste at Port Jefferson event, which is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 17, at the Port Jefferson Village Center at 101 East Broadway.

Now in its 12th year, the “Taste” event keeps growing, says the chamber’s director of operations, Barbara Ransome. “We keep trying to add different features to the event,” she said.

Some highlights for this year’s installment includes performances by live bands. And the VIP experience is back, complete with a private lounge area and exclusive pours.

General admission for tasting the 30-plus restaurants and vendors costs $50 (or $60 at the door), but for 75$ you can upgrade to a VIP. Click here to purchase tickets.

VIPs get an hour early admission from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (standard ticket is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.), while having access to an entire lounge on the third floor, which will have an additional tasting experience as well as chef demonstrations.

There are over 30 restaurants and other eateries participating, as well as wineries and breweries.
