This Amityville bakery is dropping off cookies to hospital workers across L.I.

|

A wholesale bakery in Amityville found a way to help Long Island healthcare workers amid the COVID-19 health crisis.

“While we cannot make masks to protect our doctors and nurses, we can make cookies to bring them some cheer and to let them know they are not alone,” reads a Facebook post by the bakery named Pure Sugar Inc.

And the bakery is calling on the public’s help through its new special cookie donation packages for local hospitals. For every order going to a hospital, the bakery will match and provide a second bag of cookies.

On Monday, Pure Sugar dropped off cookies at Bay Shore’s Southside Hospital.

“We will continue to deliver to help spread the love to those heroes,” the bakery wrote on Facebook. “Together we will get through this!”

For those interested in placing an order call 631-608-8855. You can also add a can include a personal note of appreciation on the cookie bag.
