This women’s clothing boutique is coming to Bay Shore

|

Renee Goldfarb is returning to the place where she got her start in fashion.

That’s Bay Shore.

When she was 19 years old, she worked for Special Sauce, a former clothing staple in the community.

Her experience there helped pave the way to become a stylist in the fashion and entertainment industry.

She later opened a women’s clothing retailer in Brooklyn, and then opened a similiar store called Origin in Era in Port Jefferson in the winter of 2019.

Now she’s bringing that store to Bay Shore — in a location not announced quite yet. (Check back to GreaterBayShore for more on that.)

“Coming back there after all this time is a homecoming for me,” said Goldfarb.

Goldfarb, a South Shore native from Amityville, will close up her shop in Port Jefferson on Nov. 28.

She is looking for a Dec. 1 opening for Bay Shore — just in time for the start of the holiday season.

For customers fond of Origin of Era, Goldfarb said that everything is going to be the same at her new location.

“We won’t have vintage in the new space, but we will continue to sell small batch, independent, female-only brands,” she said. “The only thing that will feel new is the building, the shell.”

Keep checking back for updates on Origin of Era’s new address, to be announced soon.
