TJ Finley’s in Bay Shore launches campaign to buy drinks for nurses

Help a nurse have a drink. They certainly need it.

That’s the idea behind T.J. Finley’s new Buy a Nurse a Drink campaign, which just launched this week in Bay Shore.

The idea is simple: Finley’s is looking to move $10 gift cards — to the tune of 1,000 cards in total — to distribute to nurses at Southside Hospital on National Nurses Day, May 6.

“We just wanted to give the nurses respite from the madness and a bit of comfort and fun,” said T.J. Finley’s co-owner Drew Dvorkin.

“It’s essentially a ‘cheers’ and a ‘thank you’ for their tireless efforts.”

The Finley’s crew, which itself is shut down except for takeout and delivery, is running the drive through May 5, Cinco de Mayo.

The cards will be delivered to Southside Hospital on May 6. The hospital employs roughly 1,400 nurses so the goal is to come close.
