Tony’s Tacos opening brand-new standalone location in Levittown

|

Forget beef, beans and rice. A new restaurant serving tacos with a twist is coming to Levittown.

Tony’s Tacos, known for its creative, Italian-inspired combinations, is opening its sixth Long Island location later this year at the Levittown Mews shopping center on Hempstead Turnpike.

Think chicken parm, meatballs and short rib—served taco-style.

“In the beginning, people didn’t understand the concept,” founder Mike Scotto previously told Greater Long Island. “But once they tried it, they got hooked.”

The Levittown restaurant will be located in a newly built pad site space next to Ulta, directly across the parking lot from the Walmart Neighborhood Market, according to property owner Breslin Realty.

Scotto said he drew on his Italian roots when he opened the first Tony’s Tacos in Floral Park, blending traditional taco formats with familiar comfort-food flavors.

The menu is divided into five categories: “The Classic,” “The Oreganata,” “The Club,” “The Parm,” and “The Gourmet.”

“The Classic” offers more traditional options for customers seeking a straightforward taco. Those looking for something different can turn to “The Oreganata” for fish and meat topped with seasoned breadcrumbs, “The Club” for fried selections, and “The Parm” for tacos finished with melted cheese.

“The Gourmet” section pushes the concept even further, featuring items such as hot dog and fries tacos, sausage and peppers tacos, and “Tony’s Alla Scarpetta,” Scotto’s Italian take on the popular birria trend.

The Floral Park location quickly developed a loyal following and was at one point selling close to 1,000 tacos a day. Since then, the brand has expanded across Long Island, with additional locations in Huntington, Franklin Square and Garden City.

Tony’s Tacos offers more than 40 taco varieties, along with bowls, salads, quesadillas, sides and margaritas, all served in a casual, fast-paced setting designed for everyday dining.
