Greater Bay Shore coverage is funded in part by Shoregate, now leasing brand-new premium apartment homes in the heart of Bay Shore.
The stars from the hit children’s television program, The Magic Garden, are coming back to YMCA Boulton Center for the Performing Arts for a performance.
The show’s hosts, Carole Demas and Paula Janis, will be hitting the stage in Bay Shore on Sunday, Oct. 6, for two performances at 12:30 p.m. and then at 4 p.m.
“Join the Y Boulton Center for laughs, happy memories, Magic Garden video clips, songs and stories we all love,” reads the show’s description from the Y Boulton Center.
There will also be performances by the original Sherlock, the show’s fun-loving puppet.
For the uninitiated, The Magic Garden ran for 12 seasons on network television from 1972 to 1984.
During that time, the show’s leads created three albums, a DVD, earned Grammy nominations, and has been cited actions for Children’s Television and the Children’s Television Workshop.
“The legacy of The Magic Garden as one of the most valuable and endearing achievements in all of the children’s entertainment is secure,” writes a spokesperson from The Magic Garden.
Tickets for the show are $20 for adults and $15 for children.
