Uncle Giuseppe’s to fill old King Kullen space in North Babylon

|

Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace is coming to North Babylon in 2021.

The Italian market and grocery store announced it is opening its eighth New York location at Sunset Plaza in a former King Kullen location by next spring or summer.

Uncle G’s was founded in 1998 with its East Meadow store, later expanding to Smithtown, Port Washington, Port Jefferson Station, Massapequa, Melville, Ramsey, N.J. and Yorktown Heights.

The new 39,241-square-foot spot in North Babylon will feature a full-service deli, specialty butcher, scratch-made bakery, and its popular pasta and mozzarella making stations.

“We look forward to sharing our family recipes with you and giving you the experience you deserve,” said Carl DelPrete, co-founder and chief executive officer of Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace, in a statement. “You can look forward to sampling our food and listening to live singers on the weekends as you shop.”

Once open, Uncle Giuseppe’s will offer home delivery and curbside pickup for grocery items.
