Update: Babylon Village Fall Harvest Festival moved to Saturday, Oct. 28

|

Update: Due to possible inclement weather, the Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce has moved its Babylon Village Harvest Fall Festival from Saturday, Oct. 21, to Saturday, Oct. 28.

Everything that was planned for the original date will still happen on the new date.

Original story

The 30th annual fall festival street fair is back and the Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce is pulling all the stops for a day of great eats, great shopping, and great live entertainment.

The Babylon Village Fall Harvest Festival happens this Saturday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the downtown. Revelers can enjoy street dining, sidewalk sales for the latest fall merchandise, check out various games, see a petting zoo, get pony rides for the kiddos, and more.

People can roam around the closed-off Deer Park Avenue, which is where the festival takes place.

On the same day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. is the Apples and Art Festival at The Conklin House, which is located at 280 Deer Park Avenue.

Families can take part in the activities on the lawn of the Conklin House property and browse the local artwork inside.

Earlier that morning is the Post Office’s 32nd annual 5K & 1K Fun Run for the National MPS Society, starting at 10 a.m. at the Post Office Café (130 W. Main St.).

Parking is recommended at the municipal lots east and west of Deer Park Avenue and south of Main Street.

In case of inclement weather, a rain date is set for Saturday, Oct. 28.

Sidewalk sales all weekend

In addition to the Babylon Village Fall Harvest Festival, the chamber will host the sidewalk sale all weekend, Friday – Sunday, allowing local merchants to sell their merch and products along Deer Park Avenue. Follow the chamber’s Facebook for more details.
