Update: This week’s Alive by the Bay festival in Bay Shore is postponed

|

Bay Shore’s biggest block party is making its return — with a slight delay.

Originally set for Tuesday, July 1, the first night of the Alive by the Bay series will now take place on Tuesday, Aug. 19. It was pushed due to impending bad weather, according to event organizers.

That means the updated lineup is: July 15, July 29, Aug. 12 and Aug. 19 — all Tuesdays, running from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Main Street will once again be shut down for the festivities, which include live music, food and drink specials, vendors, and family-friendly fun.

The event is run by the Bay Shore Restaurant Committee and has grown every year since it first launched in 2017.

Flashback moment: Check out our very first story ever on Alive by the Bay.

The Greater Long Island team will be out there capturing the scenes — so be sure to say hi and smile for the camera. We’ll also be publishing our popular guide ahead of the next event.

Until then, check out some of our favorite Alive by the Bay photos from over the years below.
