Upgrades at Bethpage Ballpark completed in time for Friday’s home opener

Bethpage Ballpark in Central Islip, home of the Long Island Ducks, saw major offseason upgrades in time for the 2017 season’s home opener this Friday, April 28.

The improvements include a brand-new LED field lighting system that will illuminate a new, 100,000-square-foot grass field.

Inside the stadium, the carpeting was ripped out of the Duck Club restaurant and bar — as well as 10 luxury suites — in favor of new vinyl flooring. The bathroom’s in the ballpark will now all be “touch-less,” by bringing in new sensor, no-flush toilets and urinals.
