Verde’s on the move in Bay Shore; lists OG spot up for sale

|

Verde Kitchen & Cocktails is getting ready to move into a new, much larger home in downtown Bay Shore.

And that means its current Main Street space is hitting the market.

The big move is expected by late spring or early summer. The restaurant will relocate just down the block to a building more than three times the size of its current location, complete with a rooftop.

“We just outgrew the space,” Tartaglia said.

GLI first reported back in 2023 that Verde’s restaurant group, Costa Verde Hospitality, had purchased the former Peninsula Asian fusion restaurant building at 55 West Main Street, with plans to transform it into the new Verde Kitchen & Cocktails.

Now, the Tartaglia brothers, which own Verde, are seeking someone to take over the lease at Verde’s original home, a 2,800-square-foot restaurant at 70 E. Main Street. The space features seating for about 100 guests, a full kitchen, three bathrooms and a back catering room that was renovated when Verde first opened 11 years ago.

“It’s the perfect size, perfect layout and perfect location in downtown Bay Shore,” Tartaglia said. “If anything, the space just needs some minor cosmetic updates to line up with the buyer’s concept.

“A new restaurant could be open in a couple of months.” Scroll down for the Verde “for sale’ literature.
