Volunteers teamed up last weekend to help construct Port Jefferson’s new community garden at Beach Street Parkland.
Alongside groups like Hometown Hope and Port Jeff Rotary Club, residents assembled garden boxes, put in posts, dug trenches, and moved soil among other various tasks.
The garden is a pilot project approved by the Village of Port Jefferson.
