Fifteen student-athletes from West Islip High School committed earlier this month to playing for athletic programs at colleges across the country.
Ten of the seniors will continue playing lacrosse at the next level; two will play softball, one will swim and one each will play baseball and soccer. The district gathered the group at the high school for a ceremony to commemorate their signings.

Isabella Tomeo: Soccer at St. John’s University
Avery Lanzarotta: Lacrosse at Stetson University
Lauren LaMorte: Lacrosse at Kutztown University
Makayla Comer: Softball at Adelphi University
Madison Nicolosi: Lacrosse at Adelphi University
Morgan Einsetler: Swimming at Hartwick College
Gianna Gentile: Lacrosse at East Carolina University
Katerina DaSilva: Softball at SUNY Cortland
CJ Schwarz: Lacrosse at SUNY Albany
Patrick Keenan: Lacrosse at Fairfield University
Cole Sparks: Lacrosse at Limestone University
Cameron Dorfman: Lacrosse at Mercy College
Thomas McElwee: Baseball at SUNY Albany
