The Babylon Cove Light Parade is back to spread some holiday cheer and raise money for a great cause.
On Saturday at sunset, around 4:25 p.m., decorated boats will take their final laps together to celebrate the holiday season before being pulled from the water for the winter.
The plan is to make a big circle in the Babylon Cove, passing by the Babylon Village Dock, the Babylon Village Pool, the Babylon Yacht Club, and then repeat the route.
Boaters are encouraged to pass by the Babylon Beach House assisted living facility too.
Onlookers and participants can warm up with some hot chocolate and food by Geena’s Weenas food truck at the main dock.
This is the fifth annual year of the event.
This year, organizers are collecting donations to benefit a Babylon High School student “who demonstrates the giving spirit of the holiday season” all year long. Donations can be made via Venmo @BabylonCoveParade or Zelle to [email protected].
