|

Whole Foods Market announced Wednesday it will open its eighth Long Island location on March 5 at the Shops at SunVet — on Sunrise Highway in Holbrook.

The doors at the 43,000-square-foot store will swing open at 8 a.m. on opening day, with regular hours of 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily moving forward.

The Holbrook location will stock more than 900 local items sourced from over 215 Northeast suppliers, the company said. John Lawson, forager for local and emerging brands at Whole Foods Market, helped curate the product selection.

“The store’s decor is inspired by Long Island culture with its unique blend of history, arts and coastal lifestyle,” the company said in its announcement.
