Winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million sold in Hampton Bays

The convenience store at a Hampton Bays Mobil station sold a winning Powerball ticket worth $1million, New York Lottery announced on Thursday.

Officials said the second-prize-winning ticket was sold for the Wednesday Powerball drawing. The numbers drawn that night were 5, 20, 29, 39 and 53; the red Power Ball was 6.

The gas station is located at 239 W. Montauk Highway.

The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Power Ball comes from a separate field of one to 26. Powerball drawings are televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

Holders of winning draw game tickets have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. Winners must fill out a Winner Claim Form.
