Tickets are on sale for next month’s Winter Bourbon Fest at T.J. Finley’s in Bay Shore.
The Feb. 25 festival, the fourth annual, will feature 30 whiskies and 30 barrel-aged beers.
Bourbon Fest typically draws enthusiasts from across Long Island, Queens and Manhattan.
Finley’s co-owner Drew Dvorkin said combining whiskey and craft beer is a natural fit.
“Craft beer drinkers and whiskey drinkers share a passion for flavor, variety, tradition, and an artisan spirit,” said Dvorkin.
According to February 2016 report in Fortune, “bourbon and whiskey sales are soaring around the world.” American whiskeys outpaced the industry with a 7.8 percent growth from the previous year to revenues of $2.9 billion, the report reads.

“The term ‘American Whiskey’ covers such an expansive range of styles and flavors,” said Sean Brown, a district manager for Southern Wine & Spirits of NY.
“This event will give the whiskey lover a large range of styles from which to choose … attendees will be able to try some of the best-selling and most desirable whiskeys all under one roof,” Brown added.
New to this year’s event will be the Cocktail Lab, hosted by mixologist Heather Cheetham.
Attendees will learn how to make and sample seasonal whiskey cocktails.
“The Winter Bourbon Festival is one of our favorite events of the year,” Dvorkin said. “It’s great to spend a winter afternoon surrounded by like-minded people, sipping amazing whiskey, and supporting a worthwhile cause.”
It also helps raise funds for Gavin’s Got Heart, a local 501c3 charity that provides financial and emotional support for families with children affected by congenital heart defects.

Tickets for the Winter Bourbon Festival are $75 for VIP and $50 for general admission. Tickets are on sale now at www.winterbourbonfestival.com but a limited number are available.
The VIP session starts at 3 p.m. and general admission session starts at 4 p.m. During the VIP session, specialty bourbons and beers will be offered, along with a VIP take-home gift.
All ticket holders get a commemorative tasting glass, sponsored by Jim Beam, and a BBQ sandwich of their choice. This is a 21+ event. Attendees must show valid photo ID for admission.
