|

The new year’s first installment of Long Island Restaurant Week is upon us, with a list of participating restaurants that has risen to post-pandemic levels.

We’re talking over 150 restaurants from across Nassau and Suffolk counties, each offering several prix fixe deals for lunch and dinner. And more restaurants are signing up by the day.

The eight days of foodie fun this winter runs from Sunday, Jan. 28, through Sunday, Feb. 4.

“We are so excited to kick off 2024 with Winter Restaurant Week!” said Nicole Castillo of Long Island Restaurant and Hospitality Group, which runs the tri-annual event. “On the heels of a great fall restaurant week that saw over 170 restaurants participating, winter is already lining up to be an exciting mix of cuisines and locations throughout the island.

“It’s the perfect time of year to try those restaurants you have been wanting to try.”

The details

Again, Winter Long Island Restaurant Week 2024 runs from Jan. 28 through Feb. 2. Restaurants must offer three options per course (appetizer, entrée, dessert) for each prix fixe menu.

And they can offer one or all of these options:

About Long Island Restaurant Week

“Long Island Restaurant Week is a win-win for both restaurateurs and diners — increased foot traffic at restaurants and affordable meals at some of Long Island’s top restaurants,” Castillo said. “My best advice for restaurant week?

“Make reservations to guarantee you get into your favorite restaurant!”

An estimated 116,000 meals are served during each promotion at over 140 Long Island locations, which is good for about $4 million in revenues from every Long Island Restaurant Week.

It started as a fall-only promotion in 2006 until the first spring Long Island Restaurant Week was launched in April 2011. Winter was added in January of 2016, due to popular customer and restaurateur demand. Visit the Long Island Restaurant Week website for any more information.
