Under gray skies on Saturday, Oct. 11, hundreds of visitors descended on the village dressed in their finest cloaks and hats for the first-ever Witches Day Out.
They shopped local, sipped potions, joined broom-making workshops and tarot card readings — and filled downtown with a little extra magic.
Organizer Kirsten Yadouga called the event “pure magic,” saying it brought together businesses and neighbors for a full day of spooky fun. As night fell, the festivities continued with Witches Night Out — a bar crawl through participating restaurants along Main Street to keep the cauldron bubbling well into the evening.
“What started as a grassroots celebration brought crowds from as far as New Jersey and Connecticut and resulted in a record-breaking day for local businesses,” Yadouga said. “I can’t wait for year two!”
