
Police arrested a woman Monday after she stabbed a man she knew on East Main Street in Patchogue, authorities said.
Suffolk County Police responded to the area of 116 E. Main St. — near Jardin, Whiskey Neat and the U.S. Navy recruitment center — at 11:32 a.m. after receiving a report of a stabbing. Officers arrived to find a male victim with minor injuries, police said.
The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The woman, described by police as an acquaintance of the victim, was arrested at the scene.
Witnesses reported a chaotic scene as police swarmed the area and blocked off a section of Main Street following the stabbing.
