The Babylon Village Women’s Club is hosting a guest speaker to provide advice on combating the opioid crisis plaguing Long Island and the rest of the U.S.
The Women’s Club, which holds meetings once a month, has invited Kym Laub, a member of the New York State Heroin Task Force, to speak Wednesday, Feb. 28.
“It was requested to have someone come in to speak about drug issues,” said one of the group’s board members, Rachel Fasciani.
The event, which is open to the public, will run about an hour starting at 7 p.m. at Babylon Village Hall.
Laub, who is also the executive director of Hugs Inc., will be discussing how to address addiction and prevention in children.
