The YAAAS Tea empire continued its Long Island expansion this week, opening its fifth location on the island on Friday.
Kelly Zhou, the founder of the bubble tea company, launched her newest addition in Great Neck at 62 Middle Neck Rd. She has other locations in Farmingdale, Huntington, Hauppauge and recently opened in Patchogue in July.
She launched YAAAS Tea in 2021 when she opened in Farmingdale.
Now there are three more in the works, according to YAAAS Tea’s website. Here are the locations coming soon:
- 27111 Union Tpk., New Hyde Park
- 220 Merrick Rd., Rockville Centre
- 2188 Nesconset Hwy., Stony Brook
For the uninitiated, YAAAS Tea serves a variety of boba teas as well as classic milk teas, fresh teas, and creme brûlée-style drinks.
Zhou’s passion for the boba tea business comes from her upbringing in China, where she spent many childhood moments sitting together with family and friends, enjoying the tea and desserts her grandmother made.
Now, she is on a mission to share her favorite childhood treats with people across Long Island.
