Price cut: Former Miller Place Inn banquet hall now $2.6M

|

The table and chairs. The pots and pans. The beautiful landscaping.

Heck, there’s even a couple of koi fish still darting around the pond. Three months after its closure, everything seems to still be in place at the former Miller Place Inn, which remains on the market — for a discounted price of $2.6 million.

The 11,000-square-foot facility, which operated primarily as a wedding venue, is being billed by realtors as a “turn-key” banquet hall. Located at 195 N. Country Road, the property owners originally sought $3.5 million eight months ago.

The Miller Place Inn closed suddenly on Feb. 1, leaving in the lurch many soon-to-be newlyweds, who had reserved the space for their tie-the-knot celebrations.

The structure was built in 2002 and has a 250-seat capacity. It is located adjacent to the Miller Place school district’s North Country Road Middle School.

In October 2020, Suffolk County fined the Miller Place Inn $10,000 for violations of state executive orders and $2,000 for a county sanitation code violation, relating to a Sweet 16 party held in the venue on Sept. 25, 2020.

Of the 81 guests who attended the party, a whopping 37 tested positive for COVID-19 and more than 300 other individuals were quarantined as a result.

Still as pretty as ever on the outside
