Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts has landed legendary play and screen actress Bernadette Peters for its annual fundraiser gala this Saturday night, Oct. 22.
Proceeds will go toward purchasing a new, all-LED marquee for the theater (rendering above), which is located in the heart of Patchogue Village at 71 East Main Street.
To get the crowd rolling Saturday night, the theater is offering an open bar with light fare from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at neighboring Public House 49 at a separate admission of $65.
That food and drink ticket also gets you dessert at Kilwins after Peter’s performance.
Tickets to see Peters are being sold separately and range from $65 to $175, though those higher priced tickets are sold out. The show begins at 8 p.m.
For $250, 25 super-fans will get to meet with Peters backstage.

Peters, a Tony Award-winning actress who stared in such Broadway shows as “Song and Dance” and “Annie Get Your Gun,” currently stars in Amazon Prime’s hit TV series, “Mozart in the Jungle,” which won the 2016 Golden Globe for “Best TV Comedy or Musical Series.”

Broadway Barks is described as a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies, and it’s held every summer in New York City.
“I’m a believer in doing what you can, helping with whatever touches your heart,” Peters said in a recent Newsday interview about her appearance in Patchogue. “The theater and the arts are so important. These theaters are bringing the arts to adults and especially children, showing them how we can all be in one space together and have an experience that will never be repeated again. As much as you love any show, it’ll be different the next time you see it because it is a different night.”
