It was a perfect day for a green parade in Patchogue.
The village’s annual St. Patrick’s Parade — the first since 2019 due to the pandemic — started at noon near Route 112, then proceeded west on Main Street to West Avenue.
The parade’s grand marshal was Dennis Smith, head of the village’s Business Improvement District. The annual “May the Road Rise to Meet Ye” two-mile run/walk was also held prior to the parade.
