Thousands sported green and lined the downtown streets of Babylon Village for the community’s first-ever St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 19.
It was a beautiful day for the festivities, with plenty of sunshine and participation from local businesses, restaurants and village organizations. The sound of bagpipes rang through the village and several musical acts performed while marching down Deer Park Avenue.
Judy Skillen, president of the Village of Babylon Historical and Preservation Society, earned the parade’s first Grand Marshal title.
