Free events for Earth Week kick off Monday, April 17, at St. Joseph’s College

|

St. Joseph’s College has announced its lineup for this year’s Earth Week festivities at the Long Island Campus in Patchogue.

The campus will also welcome Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone as a guest speaker.

“With this series of events, we hope to educate the SJC community on what local organizations and individuals are doing to protect the environment,” said Kirk Lawrence, an associate professor in the school’s sociology department.

Earth Week kicks off Monday, April 17. All of the below listing events are free and open to the public — not just students.

“Our hope is that attendees become inspired enough to take action toward sustainability,” Dr. Lawrence said.
