The Bay Shore school board recently publicly congratulated the high school Class of 2018’s valedictorian and salutatorian.
Derek Brown, the valedictorian, plans to attend Dartmouth College. Samuel Murdock, the salutatorian, plans to attend Northeastern University in the fall.
“Both have challenged themselves to the fullest extent possible while attending Bay Shore High School,” read a statement from the district. “Congratulations to Derek and Samuel.
“We know you will make Bay Shore proud for years to come.”
