They’re taking Verde Kitchen & Cocktails to the Great South Bay

The Lauren Kristy Bay shore

Verde Kitchen & CocktailsĀ of Bay Shore will soon be offering 360 degree water views.

At least for one night.

(We’re probably a few years away from something like this off L.I.)

The owners of the popular restaurant on East Main Street have put together plans for a Margarita Sunset Cruise in August aboard the Lauren Kristy, run by South Bay Cruises.

The 65-foot, turn-of-the-century riverboat will sail out of the Bay Shore Marina at 6 p.m. on Aug. 18 and return afterĀ three-hour cruise in the bay.Ā The provisions will be furnished by Verde, with cruisers getting access to apps and finger foods like salsas, guacamole, ceviche and raw oysters.

The openĀ margarita bar will also offer wine and beer fromĀ Fire Island BeerĀ Company,Ā which is helping sponsor the event, with music from local DJ Chris Kenny.

“We know the boat andĀ figured to do a fun event with our food and drinks out on the water,” said Verde co-owner Anthony Tartaglia.Ā “And really, we just wanted a nice night out of the restaurant, to be on the bay and watch the sunset to some food and music.”

Thinking of going?

Verde is going old school on the sales end.Ā The 100 tickets will cost $85 (includes tax and gratuity) but won’t be available online. People can pick them up at Verde at 70 East Main Street, or by calling the restaurant atĀ (631) 665-6300 or by emailing verdebsny@hotmail.com.
