Forget the clambake this summer on Fire Island.
Go with the baked clams.
Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace has just announced that it’s bringing its seasonal Ocean Beach pop-up shop back to Fire Island for the summer season.
The specialty grocer will once again operate inside Ocean Beach Trading, offering beachgoers prepared foods, specialty grocery items and other summer-ready favorites just steps from the sand.
The pop-up debuted last summer and quickly became a popular stop for Fire Island residents and weekend visitors looking for easy meals, entertaining essentials and grab-and-go options without having to leave the island.
“We were incredibly grateful for the way the Fire Island community welcomed us last summer,” Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace CEO Carl DelPrete said in the announcement. “Our guests told us they loved having Uncle G’s right there in Ocean Beach, and we’re excited to return for another season.”
According to the company, the Ocean Beach location is designed around beach living — offering prepared meals, specialty items and convenient options for everything from beach lunches to sunset dinners and summer gatherings.
“Having Uncle Giuseppe’s in Ocean Beach last summer was a great addition for our customers and the community,” Ocean Beach Trading owner Evan Brett said in the announcement. “The quality, freshness and convenience were exactly what people were looking for, and we’re excited to welcome them back for another season.”
In addition to the returning pop-up, Uncle Giuseppe’s also announced that Fire Island guests can now place grocery and catering orders through Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace for next-day ferry delivery service with the same pricing available in stores.
