A 12-year-old girl needed to be airlifted by helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital after she was hit Thursday by a Jeep while crossing a Center Moriches street, police said.
Natasha Robertson of Center Moriches was crossing Main Street near Clinton Street about 3:05 p.m. when she was hit by a westbound 2015 Jeep Wrangler, cops said. She was flown to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, Sarah Smith, 25, of Mastic, was not injured.
