Man killed after car falls off jack in Selden driveway

A 50-year-old man died Wednesday morning after the vehicle he was working under became dislodged from a jack and trapped him beneath it in the driveway of his Selden home, police said.

Nadeem Ahmad was working beneath a 2002 Toyota Camry at his home on Tuscala Street about 8:15 a.m. when the car fell from the jack and rolled down the driveway, police said.

Ahmad was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Suffolk County Police’s Homicide Squad is investigating the incident.
