Savers is celebrating its newest Long Island location in Carle Place with a grand opening weekend.
The for-profit thrift retailer opened earlier this month in the former Big Lots space at Voice Road Plaza, next to Western Beef.
The celebration at 260 Voice Road runs Thursday through Saturday, according to a company announcement. During the three-day event, shoppers will receive a free reusable bag with purchase.
For those unfamiliar with Savers, the company purchases secondhand clothing and household goods from nonprofit partners, then sells the items in its retail stores.
Savers says its nonprofit partners support a range of causes, including programs for at-risk youth and organizations fighting disease.
