New Hyde Park is NAYA’s third Long Island location

Free lunch is on the menu Wednesday, July 15, as Middle Eastern fast-casual favorite NAYA opens its newest Long Island spot in New Hyde Park, giving the first 100 customers a meal on the house and serving everyone else for just $5 during its grand opening celebration.

The restaurant, located at 1624 Marcus Ave., is known for its build-your-own bowls, salads and wraps piled high with unlimited toppings, fresh proteins and family recipes rooted in Lebanese tradition.

“So many Long Islanders are familiar with us, so expanding our Long Island footprint was an easy choice,” Bethany Strong, NAYA’s chief operating officer, told Greater Long Island.  “We listen to our guests. Everyone kept saying, ‘Come, come, come,’ so here we are.”

NAYA’s menu is rooted in traditional Lebanese family recipes passed down through generations, according to Strong.

“It’s all been handed down from generations before,” she said. “Our spices are also rooted in tradition. We are authentic.”

Among the restaurant’s most popular offerings is its chicken shawarma.

“That’s what really put us on the map,” Strong said. “It’s never frozen. It’s prepped fresh every day. That’s one of the reasons our customers love it. We also just redid our falafel recipe, and it’s been getting rave reviews.”

New Hyde Park is NAYA’s third Long Island location.

The company opened its first Long Island restaurant at Roosevelt Field in 2023, followed by a location in Oceanside in 2025.

The growth isn’t stopping there. Strong tells GLI that NAYA plans to open two more Long Island locations before the end of the year, with restaurants slated for Plainview and Holbrook’s Sun Vet Mall.

Founded in New York City in 2008, NAYA now operates 48 locations throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and the Boston area.

Strong said expanding beyond New York City had always been part of the company’s long-term vision.

“Growing outside NYC was always the plan. It just took a few years longer than we had wanted, but we are happy now with the spaces we found,” she said.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10:15 a.m.
