Stanley’s Bakery, a staple in the East Islip community, is giving back to the local residents.
On Friday, the longtime bakery for over 60 years gave out 80 loaves of free Italian bread for those in need.
“We wanted to give back to our community,” said Ken Lowman, Stanley’s co-owner. “You have been so loyal and supportive of our bakery, we want to be able to give back something to you.”
Islip Town officials were quick to spotlight the beloved bakery with a Facebook post.
“It is a testament to the character of our local business community, to see the neverending generosity during this public health crisis,” said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter in the post.
To place an order for curbside pickup, call the bakery at (631) 581-1230.
