The future of Sayville boys lacrosse is in good hands.
Consider the undefeated spring season of the Sayville Youth Lacrosse Club’s third-grade Gold squad. The budding Golden Flashes capped their spring 2019 campaign this month with a 6-4 win over Patchogue-Medford, earning a division championship.
“Sayville is a small town with big lacrosse goals! These boys played their hearts out every game,” said Chad Echezuria, the youth team’s head coach. “All the hard work these boys put into this season led to being named champions.”
Echezuria said he’s worked with many of the boys on the team since they were in pre-school. The team’s two assistant coaches are Doug Batterberry and Michael Elderbaum.
