Here are the local restaurants participating in Long Island Restaurant Week

|

With Long Island Restaurant Week quickly approaching, we can almost hear your stomachs rumble with anticipation.

From Sunday, Jan. 26, to Sunday, Feb. 2, participating restaurants will offer a $29.95 three-course prix fixe all night every night they are open — except on Saturday when the deal only has to be offered until 7 p.m.

The tri-annual event also happens during the spring and fall. Below, we’ve pulled together a list of the participating Greater Sayville area restaurants:

Bistro 25 in Sayville

Like most Groupon reviewers, “Judith” doled out a five-star rating to Bistro 25 after a meal at the Foster Avenue spot this fall.

“Outstanding, beautiful place, amazing menu, waiter — though busy — never skipped a beat, very professional,” she said in her October post. “It was an awesome meal in a popular spot. Glad I had an opportunity to have lunch here.”

Come thirsty and order from the wine menu. It features 25 boutique style wines, priced at $25 per bottle.

View Restaurant in Oakdale

The dining experience at View blends a breathtaking view of the Great South Bay, a menu full of delicious seafood dishes and an elegant dining room that features three cozy fireplaces.

It’s a go-to date night destination as much as it is a place to unwind with friends. On the weekend, fill up at dinner, then dance the night away in the bar area.

“Karebear” gave View five stars on OpenTable.com after a “memorable” holiday dinner last month.

“Lovely Christmas Eve dinner at the View! Beautiful setting and delicious food made for a memorable occasion!” Karebear wrote.

George Martin’s Strip Steak in Great River

Tucked away in a tidy Great River neighborhood, George Martin’s Strip Steak offers savory dry-aged steaks and a menu packed with chops, seafood and house specialties.

The restaurant averages an outstanding 4.8 out of 5 stars in the thousands of reviews posted in OpenTable.com. Six nights ago, a diner with the screen name “Rjohnsonisc” on OpenTable raved that “Saturday night was a level up!!” from the typical great time.

“Live music, energetic crowd and staff, and phenomenal food to round out a great night out with friends in our own backyard,” Rjohnsonisc wrote.

Cafe Joelle in Sayville

This Main Street mainstay features a boatload of delicious American dishes, served in a dining room decorated with charming black and white photos of Sayville locations.

Tracy Johanna took to Facebook in November to highly recommend Cafe Joelle.

“What a cool spot! The food and drinks were on point and came out quickly. HANDS DOWN best baked clams I’ve ever had!” she posted “There was live music and the atmosphere was quaint and comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back soon!”

Italian food and wine at its finest, La Tavola enjoys the admiration of its many fans. The food, service and ambiance are all on point at this Main Street eatery, where the kitchen blends traditional family recipes with emerging trends.

After dinner last week, “Terri” checked in at OpenTable.com drop off a five-star rating of La Tavola.

“Great ambiance, wine was delicious, waiter was amazing, he guided us in just the right way, and encouraged us to try some new items,” Terri wrote in her post. “We were so pleased. I already know what I am trying next time.”

Snapper Inn in Oakdale

I don’t know which night I’m going, but I already know what I’m ordering from the Snapper Inn’s Restaurant Week menu: the Apple Cider Honey Glazed Salmon. One of six entree choices, this mouth-watering title comes bedecked with mashed sweet potatoes, green beans, apple golden craisins and butternut squash salsa.

“JudeArvid” hit the Snapper Inn with her husband during Restaurant Week last fall, and wrote about her dining experience on TripAdvisor.com.

“I had the pistachio crusted fish and baked clams. Excellent. My husband had the historical Sauerbraten – this was the real deal. Good portion size for Restaurant Week,” she wrote. “Our friends had the potato crusted cod and the chicken — all on the Restaurant Week menu and all were outstanding.”

The Fish Store in Bayport

For the sixth consecutive year, The Fish Store was recently voted as Bethpage Best of Long Island’s Best Fish Market. It’s also a restaurant that boasts spectacular sushi dishes and a romantic atmosphere.

“The Fish Store is where taste meets healthy. I eat at The Fish Store all the time and always enjoy,” diner Bryn Elliott wrote in his five-star Google review. “You can’t lose with their lobsters and the crab cakes are delicious.”

The home of the Teddy Roosevelt Burger beckons with its mouth-watering cocktails and tasty, right-on American fare.

The restaurant first opened in 1888 as a local tavern, where Roosevelt would arrive on horseback. The structure housing the restaurant and Tap Room was added soon after prohibition.

Paige C.” of Patchogue said on Yelp that The Sayville Inn is “hands down my favorite place to eat.”

“A few things I highly, HIGHLY recommend are: the Asian calamari, old bay spiced wings, honey bbq wings, brisket tacos, fish tacos, Buffalo chicken tacos, and the rice Krispy crust ice cream pie,” she wrote in her five-star review. “I can’t say enough things about either of these choices. They are unbelievable.”

Le Soir Restaurant in Bayport

Five-star ratings abound on Yelp for this French cuisine favorite on Montauk Highway in Bayport. Robert S. on Yelp loved the eatery’s reserved and quiet ambiance.

“Le Soir has always delivered the finest French fare on Long Island, all very fresh and cooked to perfection, even on this cold, dreary January Tuesday evening,” he wrote in his Jan. 8 review. “Their included soups and salad are always superb.”
