“I loved listening to Kelly Clarkson and Alicia Keys, and I was like, ‘I want to be like them,'” the burgeoning teen pop star from Sayville says on the Dunkin’ Latte Lounge, during an interview airing this month.
“And that’s when I started singing, and I asked for lessons,” Camryn, 13, continues. “I was like ‘Mom, can I start singing lessons?’ And she was like, ‘Why Not? Sure!'”
The 24-minute interview features Camryn performing three original songs. Check out the YouTube video below:
Camryn’s appearance on the Dunkin’ Latte Lounge with Garrett from Elvis Duran and the Z100 Morning Show is the latest stop on her apparent rise to the stardom as a singer and songwriter.
Camryn earned a spot last year with the a cappella group Acapop Kids! She stars as the lead in the group’s cover of Ariana Grande’s 2018 hit “Breathin;” the video has more than four million views.
