End your summer with a bang — and some twang — with one of Long Island’s top musical artists.
Grammy-winner Gene Casey and The Lone Sharks will be swimming their way from the North Fork to Bellport Village for a free concert in the marina park, which kicks off at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Let’s say twang isn’t your thing.
Perhaps you be burnin’ for Sean Paul at The Emporium in Patchogue. Tickets are $25 in advance or $35 the day of the Sean Paul show.
After all that fun, wind down your weekend — and your summer — with some nutrition, or even some baked goods, at the Patchogue Village Business Improvement District’s weekly Sunday farmers market on West Main Street. The village closes down a section of street from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the event. Details are on the BID’s website.
There’s also a sand castle contest Sunday at Ho-Hum Beach on Fire Island.
As for Monday, that’s on you. (There’s nothing on our calendar.)
Visit the community calendar for more weekend events. Or add your own event. It’s free!
