Ever want to get paid to eat meatballs?
That Meetball Place in Patchogue (or Farmingdale) could afford you that opportunity during their first annual National Meatball Day celebrations Thursday, March 9.
The restaurants will be holding meatball eating contests at both locations, with radio personalities judging and emceeing the competitions.
The contestant who downs the most meatballs in an allotted time will win a grand prize of $1,000. Registration is in-person only and costs $30 per participant.
For the less daring, there will be an “all-you-can-eat” meatball special that allows you to pace yourself while you eat. The offer is served with pasta and salad for just $19.95 (excluding lobster balls). And that’s just a bit of what’s in store March 9.
The parties run from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
