The Babylon Village Arts Council is bringing out the award-winning Americana band Beaucoup Blue for the final show of the spring “2nd Thursday Concert Series” in Babylon on Thursday, May 11.

Beaucoup Blue is a Philadelphia-based father and son duo that features “soulful traditional and contemporary styles” according to its Facebook page.

The free concert is open to all ages and begins at 8 p.m. at the Babylon American Legion, located at 22 Grove Place. There will be a full bar available inside in the Legion’s lounge, and the Arts Council will be supplying complimentary coffee, tea, and cake.

Aside from enjoying the concert, the Arts Council will be encouraging attendees to bring food to donate.

“The concert is free; we just ask if people could bring non-perishable food donations for our local pantries,” says Jon Taylor of the Art Council.

The concert series is going on its sixth year and runs on the second Thursday of every month in both the fall and spring.

“The acts we have are very diverse,” says Taylor.

“[We] have very highly talented artists and many people are very impressed.”
