20 Photos: Thousands flock to Babylon Beautification Society’s first Christmas market

|

Thousands of people visited the Babylon Beautification Society’s first annual Christmas market around the Village Gazebo on Sunday.

Dickensian carolers entertained guests as they strolled past tents and tables loaded with hand-crafted Christmas decorations, art prints, hot chocolate and fresh baked goods for sale.

The society invited vendors to attend their decades-old craft market at Argyle Lake.

“I don’t do too many winter markets, but this was great because the Argyle Lake fair is probably the best on Long Island,” James McDonald, who sells artwork through the Lost Dog Art and Frame Co. “This is one of the best outdoor markets I’ve been to.”

In the center of the festivities, families lined up for photos with Santa Claus in the gazebo.

GreaterBabylon captured many of the smiling faces enjoying holiday festivities at the market. Please scroll through the photos below, and be sure to click on the numbered boxes to see them all.
