Babylon Village officials have announced that effective Aug. 1, all street meters will be 25 cents for one-hour parking — double the current fare.
All adjusted parking meters will have a two-hour parking limit.
The Village of Babylon stated the last time the meters were adjusted was about 23 years ago — when it jumped from 10 cents to 25 cents.
Parking meter payment is enforced Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sundays and holidays are excluded.
