It’s all about the atmosphere, and, of course, the coffee at the new Muni’s Coffee Joint in Lindenhurst Village.
“I just want it to feel like you are walking into someone’s house,” Alice Bopp told GreaterBabylon as she smiled and looked at her packed coffeehouse on Friday afternoon. “This is what I was looking for in my coffee shop.”
Since her soft opening last month at 222 North Wellwood Avenue, people have dug Muni’s vibe with one person even calling it a mix “between Brooklyn and the Hamptons,” according to Bopp.
“The response has been incredible,” added Bopp, a Lindenhurst resident. “We’re getting 5-star reviews from many people.”
Muni’s serves a variety of drinks, such as lattes, cappuccinos, flat whites, espresso, and regular coffee. The beans are supplied by East End Coffee Roasters, which is owned by the Bean-brand coffeeshops.
Bopp also sells smoothies, fresh-pressed juices, paninis, salads, açai bowls, crepes, and bakery items.
Later this month, she plans to host a grand opening.
Before then, she still is operating in her soft opening hours from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Check back for more details on the grand opening celebration.
