Suffolk County police arrested a Mastic Beach man Tuesday in the shooting that wounded two people outside a Woodside Road home over the weekend.
Matthew McCue, 37, was charged with two counts of first-degree attempted assault, two counts of second-degree assault, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment.
McCue is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Suffolk First District Court in Central Islip.
The shooting occurred about 10 p.m. Sunday in front of 96 Woodside Road, when an argument broke out among a group gathered outside. A man pulled out a handgun and fired several shots at two people involved in the dispute before fleeing the scene, police said.
The victims — a 25-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman — were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
