Lake Grove welcomed the long-anticipated arrival of Wuyang Casa BBQ, a new Japanese BBQ spot at 2880 Middle Country Road.
The restaurant, which has been in the works for four years, introduces a new style of Asian cuisine to the area.
Manager Jaelynn Chan explains that, unlike Korean BBQ, which enhances meat by marinating it, Japanese BBQ revolves around savoring the inherent flavors of the meat by offering an array of distinctive dipping sauces to create diverse taste profiles.
Much like Korean BBQ, the server serves a medley of meats, vegetables, and accompaniments to patrons, allowing them to cook their selections on a tabletop stove. Chan enthusiastically points out that Wuyang (which means “a lot of people”), is already attracting customers since its soft opening this week.
“In Asian culture, people love to gather and celebrate,” she said.
Featuring an array of delectable options such as bullish wagyu, rib eye, New York strips, and filet mignon, among others, as well as an assortment of Asian appetizers, salads, desserts, and bubble teas, Chan suggests that patrons arrive with hearty appetites.
“It’s impossible for me to pick a favorite dish,” Chan said. “It’s all outstanding.”
Wuyang Casa BBQ is open to diners seven days a week, from 12:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
