The 2024 Palm Tree Music Festival is a go after securing new location

|

The Palm Tree Music Festival has announced its new venue in the Hamptons.

The nine-hour music festival, co-founded by Kygo and his manager Myles Shear, will now be held at the Shinnecock Nation reservation in Southampton, as announced by the festival organizers on Instagram Friday. The event’s date remains unchanged, scheduled for Saturday, June 22. Festivities will take place along Little Church Street in the Shinnecock Reservation.

Since 2021, the festival has been hosted at Westhampton’s Francis S. Gabreski Airport. However, this year, the airport was initially chosen as the venue but was denied permission by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) due to airport activities scheduled for that weekend.

“Holding this event elsewhere will secure the safety of the flying public and protect concertgoers who may intentionally or unintentionally enter an active movement area,” said Evelyn Martinez, a manager for the FAA’s New York Airports District Office, s,

The Palm Tree Music Festival organizers expressed excitement about the new venue, believing it will lead to “our best event to date.”

Organizers advise that parking will be limited on-site, suggesting attendees utilize ride-sharing services, carpooling, or take the Long Island Rail Road to Southampton. Additionally, shuttle services will be available from Manhattan (departing at 1 p.m. from Lot E of Randall’s Island) and Montauk (Clam Bar at Napeague at 2 p.m.).
