Just in time for summer.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe opened its latest Long Island location late last month at the new The Boulevard complex in Yaphank.
There are now more than 20 Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations across Long Island, with recent openings in Shirley and Rocky Point. The Atlanta-based chain is known for its bevy of fruit and vegetable-filled smoothies, as well as food offerings that include wraps, sandwiches, and salads.
The fast-casual chain’s new Yaphank store is located at 509 Boulevard East in The Shoppes section of the complex.
For the uninitiated, The Boulevard is a 322-acre mixed-use complex on the corner of the Long Island Expressway and William Floyd Parkway.
The property’s retail area is anchored by a 197,000-square-foot Walmart Supercenter. In addition to Walmart, The Boulevard is also home to Southpaw Brewing Company, Yaphank Wine & Spirits, Signature Hair Salon, Northwell-Go Urgent Care, Ridgewood Savings Bank, a Hilton Home 2 Suites Hotel, Monti’s Barbershop, and Bagel Boss. A Starbucks has also been announced for the area but has not opened yet.
Northwell Health is in the process of building medical offices and a surgical center in the complex. New buildings catered toward restaurants are being erected on the site too.
Construction has been underway at The Boulevard, which is the former home of the Parr Meadows horse track, since 2014 and will likely continue through 2026.
In addition to the retail area, the property, when completed, will feature nearly 1,000 housing units — including apartments, condos, and townhomes.
