The Granola Bar opens its first Long Island location

|

Long Island just got a little crunchier.

Native Long Islander Julie Mountain and her friend and business partner Dana Noorily opened The Granola Bar in Woodbury on Friday. It’s the chain’s eighth restaurant, but it’s their very first one on Long Island.

Admired for its offering of elevated comfort food and drinks, The Granola Bar serves up breakfast, brunch and lunch, and features a full bar. The new location is located at 8285 Jericho Turnpike in the Woodbury Common Shopping Center.

Mountain and Noorily opened their flagship Granola Bar in Westport, Connecticut, in 2013 — three years after meeting at a child’s birthday in Connecticut. Earlier this year, the team opened a location on the Upper West Side in Manhattan.

In between, the duo opened four other Granola Bar locations in Connecticut — in Greenwich, Stamford, Darien and Fairfield — and one in Rye, New York.

Like its predecessors, The Granola Bar in Woodbury will provide off-site catering for breakfast, brunch and lunch. Additionally, the space will be available for private events at night.

The Woodbury restaurant will be open Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
